Ela Privacy Policy

Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Virtual World LLC ("Virtual World", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use Ela (the "App").
Ela is a wellness app for iPhone. Ela is a 33-day body reset that helps you log a short daily check-in, read a calm weight trend, keep private progress photos, and build a 33-day reveal. Ela is not a medical app and does not diagnose conditions or provide medical advice.
Ela is built to keep your information on your device. We do not run a backend that stores your check-ins, weight, or photos.
Information Stored On Your Device
Most of what Ela holds never leaves your iPhone. It is stored locally so the App can remember your progress and show your timeline:
- Onboarding answers, such as your goals and preferences.
- Daily check-ins, weight entries, and the daily readouts Ela generates from them.
- Progress photos and milestone photos you choose to add, stored only in the app's private storage on your device.
- App preferences, including haptics, reminder settings, and unit preferences.
- A cached copy of your subscription status so the app can show the right access offline.
This local information generally stays on your device unless you delete it using the in-app delete control or you remove the App.
Your Progress Photos
Progress photos and milestone photos are saved only in Ela's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to a server, posted, or shared by the App. There is no photo backend, and we never see your photos.
Photos leave your device only if you choose to share them yourself, for example by using the iOS share sheet on your 33-day reveal.
Information Processed Off Your Device
The only information processed off your device relates to your subscription and any support request you start:
- Subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, purchase history, transaction information, and an anonymous app user ID, through Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat.
- Support messages and your email address, only when you choose to contact us.
Information We Do Not Collect
Ela does not use IDFA, third-party advertising, ad tracking, analytics SDKs, HealthKit, biometric identification, contacts, precise location, or social-network tracking. Ela does not sell personal information.
Ela does not ask you to create an account or sign in. Subscription management uses an anonymous app user identifier through Apple and RevenueCat; it is not tied to your name or email.
How We Use Information
- Provide the 33-day reset experience, your daily readout, and your private timeline.
- Maintain subscription-gated access, restore purchases, and manage entitlements.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and App Store obligations.
We do not use your photos, check-ins, or weight for advertising, and we do not sell them.
Service Providers
- Apple for App Store distribution, In-App Purchase, subscription billing, and purchase management.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement validation, purchase status, and restore-purchase support.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own terms and policies.
Storage and Security
Your check-ins, weight, readouts, and photos are stored in Ela's private storage on your device. Subscription information is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS to Apple and RevenueCat to validate your access.
We rely on Apple's on-device security model and provider security controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Retention and Deletion
Because your reset data lives on your device, it stays there until you delete it. In the App, use Settings > Delete My Data to permanently remove your reset, check-ins, and photos. Deleting the App also removes its local data.
Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase and entitlement records according to their own policies so that purchases can be restored and billing can be supported.
Your Choices
- Delete your data: use Settings > Delete My Data in the App.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel in your Apple ID/App Store subscription settings.
- Notifications: enable or disable reminders in iOS settings or inside the App.

Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Because Ela keeps your data on your device, you can exercise most of these directly in the App. For anything else, contact hello@virtualworldlc.com.
Children
Ela is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where required.
